does this seem correct: 3GB of data is the equivalent of sending about 2,000 plain text emails, 100 hours of web surfing, and downloading 100 two minute videos and 200 music tracks. i imagine that this is per month? thanks for any info. or alternative use for boat owners if anyone knows or any specific forums where i can find out . thanks

    I had a 3 Dongle.
Was reliable in the city centre and outskirts but any further out it lost signal frequently. With 3 however I believe you get a chance to try it for a few days and return back to them.

As for your limits you have a homepage you can visit telling you how much you have left for the month. 3GB is ample per month for emails and web browsing.

It is easy to add on extra GB to if you find your running out instead of paying the 10p per gb which is obscene

thanks everso for your input. how much can you actually spend ontime looking up like all the things i mention above. i do tend to research quite a lot of bits and pick up and send quite a lot of emails.

I am pretty sure 3gb would be sufficient for your needs aslong as your not downloading movies / TV.

Here is a handy tool to monitor your usage.

Maybe if you have time you can see how much you are using at the moment to help you choose which package is right for you. Or if not enough time, do an average days surfing then times the data by 30 days.....

Note that many tariffs specifically block VOIP (i.e. Skype).
