OH tried to get me (again) last night to either lend him enough money so he can buy a second property, or buy one with him...........he must think I'm stupid if I'm ever going to do that..........this would be the scenario:

    - He keeps his own property - in his name - forever. He may sell at retirement (about 300k equity), but wants to leave the property, or the money, to his son.

    - I can either sell my house keep the profit (aorund 80k) and live in 'our' property or keep my property and get a second mortgage on 'our' property

-We then buy a house together and would carry on our current arrangement we have at that property, (ie, I'd live there, using my 80k equity as my half of the cost of the house and he'd turn up each night) or, we'd rent it out

-He leaves his half to his daughter (who he sees about once a year - if that)
If he dies, I can't sell without his daughter's permission
He would have paperwork drawn up so she can't just move in and the deeds would be in my name.

So, the upshot is, we would be buying something together so he can leave something to his daughter...........apparently he is presenting me with a 'glorious business opportunity'...........I said 'what about it being something we do because we're a couple?'

Anyone want to point out the benefits I'm so obviously missing each time this comes up?

Keren I had the fizzy 30mg codeine after I had Ryan and my hip joints fell apart. I found that if I was in a lot of pain they didn't make me drunk, but if it wasn't as bad, I would be off my head!

Even the over the counter ones make me feel a bit drunk now - that's what I was 'on' the day I flashed the binmen! :D

So he's cute Snags...go for it, funny, cheeky and hot....does he have money to wine and dine you ;)

Morning sammy, bunny, Lou, BB, webitha and anyone else I have missed

Think my shower has just decided to give up the will to live...good job I got in there first..that will teach DH for having a lie in and leaving me to get up with DD again. Actually he did take her swimming yesterday while I went running so I guess I can't complain!

Bunny am taking your advice (my personal trainer) and not running today but will do nice active stuff with DD, going to cycle to playpark and then spend afternoon on the allotment I think...alternatively I could just sit on my bum all day :)
I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....

ahhhhhhh, no chance of me EVER doing it. I would have - until a year ago - until he slipped up and said that it was to leave something to his daughter....

I know - when he said he plans to live in his house until he retires and then sell it, buy a small flat or bungalow and keep the profit, I said 'so you don't ever see us living together?' and he said 'yes, if we buy somewhere together'.........but when I asked about his 'half' he said he would never buy anywhere jointly again without the fall back of still owning his own house as he can never trust anyone again. Fair enough to have the insecurity, but that always feels like a bit of a swipe at me..........and it was him who had the affair which is why he got kicked out of his marital home in the first place all those years ago so I can never quite understand why he feels so 'done by'.......

I was going to do so much today but I'm still sat here with coffee.
Friend from across the road has been over for a chat. Daughter has got up (amazing) and gone back to tidy her flat before coming back for lunch.
I should shower and get cracking but .......

I was never going to run! :rotfl:

He has a good job (actually he's an underwriter like me - that's how we got chatting!), but I guess as he owns his own home and has a son that I would think he pays maintenance for, I doubt he will be exactly loaded.

I'm a cheap date though lol - a couple of glasses of wine and a loooooooong chat, and I'm completely won over! :D

Morning all. You do make me chuckle.

Hey Snoggles, you man magnet you. Well done on the 7km - I don't think I could run 7m without collapsing at the moment:eek:

Today's job is to update the house budget and my personal budget and get back in control of the finances before we spiral back down the black hole!
