Well done Bonnie - I am hoping to do this too when my son starts school full time next week. Will be able to sort out and clear out without either him or the dh wanting to keep stuff.

Got to make way for the Christmas toys at some point. Ashamed to say some things from last Christmas still haven't even been opened.
    :hello:

Aah yes she would be proud of me too, but unfortunately it has got to me and I actually went out in a pair of mock croc ankle boots, jeans, floral top and a large cardigan in true anthea fashion stylee! Please tell me I will NEVER feel the need to do my hair like hers though...
DD loves watching anth though she does shout at the telly that the 'larger' ladies should do more housework to lose weight, and my goodness that one (regardless of size) yesterday was lazy! The one who spent ages on her hair. WHY (meeeow! tee hee) :)

She was! And what about the other one? Slaving away on her BF's house! Why? Mind you, I thought he was a bit too much the other way, now - it'd drive me mad to live with someone like that. Not that I'm implying he would be a psycho wifebeater, but it did remind me of that guy in Sleeping with the Enemy who insisted on all the jar labels being turned outwards and the stripes on the towels aligned.

What DO men think of all this? COme on guys, do you all wish for a woman who is as organised as anth or is it a turn off?
Reached a developmental milestone with ds1 yesterday - he asked me 'where are my pants' in true helpless bloke style :) six years old and already becoming a man...

  • i've been anthea'ing away over last couple of weeks, but how do people go about throwing out(even to charity or freecycle) stuff thats never been opened, but you know theres little chance you'll ever use it? V.lucky hit a chord about upopened xmas pressies, with some of dd stuff, i've half a mind to hide it and wrap it up again this xmas, and see if she notices.
only problem i've come up with anthea'ing is i've become obsessed with putting everything in boxes and baskets, its driving my dd mad, lol.

    Hi bonnie,

  • Well I like Anthea and will definitely get a copy of her book on my christmas present list - if there is one of course. I have to say I could never fit my towels into the designated cupboard - either personal or kitchen - and now I can!!!! And I think to the snidey ones out there you'll find it was Hello who paid for the wedding and then did a deal with Cadbury's but didn't tell anthea and her hubby - at least that's what happened according to cadbury's.
But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green :D
