Not receiving weekly tips email

I posted this on the site feedback board, but didn't get any response. So thought I'd try it here instead.

Over the last month or so I haven't been receiving my tips email. I use Hotmail and have done all of the recommended things ie, added tips email address to safe sender list, added to contact list in Hotmail, allowed it in Internet Security spam filter. I have also contacted my ISP (as MSE instructions suggest) to give them MSE's IP address (but my ISP said it wasn't anything to do with them). I've pm'd Webmaster, and emailed furtherhelp, and not had any response (I fully appreciate how they haven't got the time to deal with an individual case like this). I just wondered whether anyone else was experiencing similar problems with not receiving weekly tips email via Hotmail.

I've already tried doing that. I didn't even receive the confirmation of sigining up email. I can't believe I'm the only Hotmail user getting this problem.

Now you come to mention it...I haven't had one for ages either.
Hadn't really noticed...but it it used to come to Hotmail.
• I've received mails on the following:

24/02/09
17/02/09
11/02/09

Who knows where 03/04 Mar went!?

Double check this by reading: http://help.live.com/(cHJvamVjdD1Ib3RtYWlsS2FodW5hQmV0YSZtYXJrZXQ9ZW4tR0ImdG10PW1zbk1haW4mb2Q9dHJ1ZSwxMDQyLDgwMCwwLDAmZm9ybWF0PWE0)/Help.aspx?market=en-GB&project=HotmailKahunaBeta&querytype=topic&query=PIM_PROC_SafeList.htm

Money Tips emails are usually sent on a Wednesday, but please be aware that due to the nature of the email tips, they may come on a Tuesday or a Thursday and that, occasionally, special emails tips are sent when particularly good or time-dependent deals are on offer.
What if I don’t receive a confirmation e-mail? Back to Top Confirmations are normally sent out instantly but sometimes there may be delays with mail servers, ISPs or the Internet itself. Please check any spam filtering software you may have just in case it’s filtered out. Plus you can always check that you spelt your e-mail address correctly by trying to add yourself again (you will be given a message telling you if your e-mail address is already on the list). Finally, you can check with your ISP to see if it's filtering out any e-mails at that end.
If you still haven’t received your confirmation e-mail 24 hours after add yourself to the email list, please contact webmaster@moneysavingexpert.com.
Why have my email tips stopped arriving? Back to Top
Have you installed any spam filtering or firewall software recently? Has your ISP installed any new filters that may be stopping our email tips from getting through? We rarely change the configuration of our email so a sudden stop usually results from other factors.
Maybe try unsubscibing then signing up again?
How do I stop getting the email? Back to Top You can stop receiving the email by going to the top right of the MoneySavingExpert.com home page, entering your email address in the box where it says "Enter email address", make sure the "Stop It" option is ticked and then click the "Go" button.

Thanks [Deleted User], I've checked all of these things. What I'm finding frustrating is that MSE do say that if you're experiencing problems receiving their tips email, and all of the suggested checks etc have been done, is to let them know by emailing Webmaster, as they say if one person isn't receiving the email, then there's a good chance that lots aren't. All I received from the email to Webmaster was an automated reply telling me to check everything I'd already checked, and an apology for it being an automated reply. I know they don't have the resources to reply to everyone who emails them, but why ask us to in the first place, if nothing's done about the query? I give up, and just hope I remember to read their email by reading it off the website.

I wonder why they're not addressing this? It can't just be 3 of us that aren't receiving the emails via Hotmail. When I spoke to my ISP (re MSE's instructions), they said that if an email's been sent, but not received, then it should get bounced back to MSE. Don't know if that's the case, but they have been told about the problem.
• It is the credit crunch guys! One email a month now. They're probably having to sell their exchange servers hence the cut backs!

Ordinarily that'd be the case. They'd receive a NDR (non-delivery report). Depends on their infrastructure setup though.

I've been receiving the emails for years and as I say the last one was 24/02/09 so who knows where 03/04 Mar went!?

Of course! That explains it all now (hee-hee).
