Sony erikson 810i

Anyone know when this is due to be released? Due for an upgrade, am on Orange and staying with them, wanting either the Sony 810i or Nokia 6280 which I beleieve aint too long from being released.

Anyone "In the know" with any information.

I haven't heard any details about release dates, but i'd guess it could be around Apr/May/June, 2nd quarter of the year.

But that's a rough guess.

I heard April, 6280 is available at the mo but only on 3.

CPW say April for W810i. O2 Online retentions just told me "about a month". I want one too

is the 810i just like the 750i tho or 800

The w810 is a 'sexed' up version of the w800. I'd stay well away from the 6280 - had it on me as a demo phone for the first day it was released. The keypad wouldn't stay locked, it was big and bulky. The camera is not as good as the sony k750/w800 and it suffers from the typical nokia problem or not being able to accept files through bluetooth unless it could fit onto the phone first before you store it onto memory card (it has about 2mb of free memory so no to most mp3s)

W810i is out 27/3/6 on O2 Online I've just been told by their retentions dept. They said it would be expensive on the retention tariff they're offering me though (100 min 100 text £10) and the W800i is £50.

April for the unlocked version - Orange probably won't have it until around June as they have not pre-ordered any units as far as I'm aware. Therefore they need to place an order and have them 'Orange-ised' before they have them for sale.
