I think you achieve your objective very well Mewbie:D
Thing is, you'd have to live under a stone not to be aware that there is a HPC and a recession going on so there isn't really any need to be uber bearish now and deliberately try to annoy/worry people. It's just preaching to the converted now isn't it?
All most of us differ about now is how long it will last, how far prices will fall, where interest rates and inflation will go etc.0 -
A reminder for MItchAA, from an earlier post
Obviously Mitch falls into the "thick as mince category" that will only wake up and smell the coffee once 40% of his Aberdeen equity has evaporated.
How are you coping with oil below 45 dollars a barrel? :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
My fuel bill is cheaper by a 1/3:p
Predictions of 20% in 9mths may to some put you in the ''thick as mince'' category;) As long as i do not go into negative equity, i'll be happy. How were the beans on toast last night;)0 -

The good posters on here are leaving in droves. The latest one is Cleaver - he hasn't been around all week.
On this forum recently it seems that unless you post endless soundbites about "broon", "Where are the green shoots?!" or shout "TIMBER" in response to practically every post you can expect to either be ignored or ridiculed and you certainly won't get any thanks.
Generali started a thread about nutters like mbga9pgf yesterday I think it was but it got moved. this forum is dying a very slow death.0 -

What is so nutterish about my OP?
I havent seen one thread on here for the past month regarding capitulation of the market.
Plenty about buying gold/guns/food stocks and hyperinflation, followed by a summer of riots.
I thought my title and subsequent discussion was closer to the forum titleHouse Prices, the Economy & Recession
instead of the usual tin-hat wearing discussion that usually goes on.
Denial fear anger and capitulation are well known stages of the bear market cycle; what is so mental about wanting to discuss that?0 -

Wait and see!!!
So I suppose you would prefer to read all about tin foil hat wearing !!!!!! then?0 -
I love discussions like these. They remind me there is a real world outside. My daughter will be a wake soon, it's a lovely day, the rabbit hutch is built, time to switch off the computer. Will be back in a couple of days to see who won the argument...wait no, that will mean wading through 12 more pages of this rubbish. Have fun chaps.Been away for a while.0

I've had a busy week working away from home doing some stupidly long (but kinda fun) days, and then me and Mrs Cleaver had a weekend away in a fancy hotel for a bit of sex, drugs, rock and roll and cups of tea in bed whilst reading a complementary Sunday Times and watching the Andrew Marr Show. Ahhh, bliss.
Don't worry, I haven't got myself a life or anything.0
