Apologies if this has been posted before (I did a search but didn't see anything)
I eventually got around to doing something about my broadband charges, I have limited options as the exchange is not LLU and I am not in a cable area. Anyway I decided that Madasafish were my best option so I phoned Pipex to get my MAC code and surprise surprise they offered me a better deal so I went ahead. Only problem is that I was lead to believe I was getting a free wireless modem which I have been charged £29.99 for
Phoned customer "service" and was told that it was not free and is chargeable!
Any advice?
TIA

If you are sure that they told you it was free, ask them to listen to the tape of the original conversation-hopefully you got the name of the person you spoke to. If you renewed on this basis they have a verbal contract and they have to honour it, even if it was a CS error.
Not sure which package you are on, but on Broadband Lite the wireless router is shown as an extra at £34.03.No free lunch, and no free laptop
