Seems like a very good deal to me, I will however wait to be ripped to shreds for that comment.....

Sorry it's a bit of a technical question, but how easy it is to copy the whole of one drive onto another one?
I could do with a bigger hard drive but I'm worried about losing everything!!0 -
I see the description states "125GB Formatted Capacity Per Disk".
Does this mean it is not a 200gB drive?Only time will tell if I am right or they are wrong0 -
No that's referring to the platters - it contains two platters with a max of 125GB on each, 200GB total.0
-
I think this is an issue to do with operating sytems and what they can 'see'. Some may require a partition to enable the full capacity to be usable, XP will allow the whole disk to be seen as one with full capacity.0

I bought an 80gig Samsung HD from PCWorld for this sort of money in January of last year.
It died within a month and i could never be bothered to take it back!
Now i stick to Western Digital HD's - but i'm sure others have just as equal horror stories about WD, a very good price though, if i had space for any more i'd prolly get it regardless of previous experiances.0 -

When I bought a new, bigger hard drive I used Acronis True Image - it copied the whole existing drive including the OS and worked perfectly. You get a free trial so it needn't cost you anything. Was easy to do though I seem to remember I may have had to format the new drive first.

NORTON GHOST
This is the ONLY NORTON product I'd recommend to anyone - don't rate any of the others (except in the average to very poor scale of things) but GHOST is perfect for this and very easy to use. There are 10 types of people in the world. ‹(•¿•)›(11)A104.28S94.98O112.46N86.73D101.02(12)J130.63F126.76M134.38A200.98M156.30J95.56J102.85A175.93

Indeed. Personally I've had zero problems with over 10 Samsung drives but have encountered many dead WDs.
Every drive make has its fair share of horror stories, you can't judge the reliability of a brand based on one sample. Drives from a particular manufacturer vary greatly - different batches of components, location of manufacture, testing procedure, and the simple inevitable fact that a motor spinning a disc at 7200RPM can never be 100% reliable. Hell, a drive may be in perfect condition until the final stretch by <insert your favourite courier here> to your house/shop where it encounters a slight bump which is the eventual cause of its death after being in use for 14 months with no problems whatsoever.
So, best thing you can do is make sure you have a proper backup solution
