Semicolon - why the 6 weeks time limit?

Beggars can't be too choosey in the current climate I am guessing that the vendor hasn't got a queue of people fighting to buy their property.

I would keep on the back of the HA but always keep your estate agent and vendor in the loop, if he knows that you are very serious about buying his property he is more than likely to be flexible!

Hope it works out for you!

The sellers(vendors) are buying some place and they need to close within 6 weeks as their vendors are in a hurry..no idea why.

:j Got our letter today from Thames Valley Housing stating that we have been "initially approved" for the Mychoice Homebuy scheme.

But....... they cant tell us anything else until the funding is available in April, so here's to another couple of weeks of waiting!!!

:D How exciting!! I'm wondering how long it will take for the housing association to contact us once the funds are available??

    Good luck everyone!

Very Bad news. The funds are now available but TVHA have changed the affordability criteria. We can only get mortgage 3 times of joint salary. That means I can’t even think of getting 3 bed house in Surrey…

Initially it used to be 4 times of salary.
Any one else got this info from their FA?
Is this same for all other agents?

I called Catalyst about our application. They said they are flooded with many, many applications this year and each application is taking an average of 15-20 working days to respond to. I can guess this will apply to your HA too.
