I have been looking at mystery shopping, seems a lot of hassle to claim tax back and pay NI etc is it worth it? Lots of companys and not sure which one to do if i decide to do it? i was thinking it could be a good lunchtime earner and nice to get paid to go to a restaurant for once :-)
This time next year i'll be a millionnaire.
Contacted Nationwide for another mortgage change form to lose one more year it will cost an extra £14 a month, or to lose 3 it will cost me another £64. May go for the three years but i will have to step up money makingMortgage Start jun 2007 £88500 Outstanding Balance £51000

Regarding mystery shopping: I would say that you'd need to register with at least two companies as either the jobs are few and far between or they go very quickly! But start with one at first. It's hard to recommend a company as the number of assignments on offer from each company varies from area to area.MFW: Nov 2008 £156k, Jun 2015 £129k, Jun 2017 £114k.0

I've been a mystery shopper for nearly 7 years so if if you have any questions pm me, I'll be happy to dispell the myths!
The best piece of advice and I'm sure you'll find it on the appropriate forum here... never ever pay to sign up as a mystery shopper.MFW: Nov 2008 £156k, Jun 2015 £129k, Jun 2017 £114k.0 -
Thank you, which companies do you use? can i fit this around a 9-5 job? Thanks

Will pm you the companies in a tick.
As far as fitting it round 9-5. Yes and no.
There's always a mixture of jobs that require different timings for your visit or phone call. You may be able to do a lunch time visit or just stick to the evening and weekend ones.
I find living and working in different towns doubles my options too and reduces travel costs for me. Remember to factor in travel costs if the company doesn't cover these. Also I've done a few hotel stays closer to work which gave me a nice lie in!MFW: Nov 2008 £156k, Jun 2015 £129k, Jun 2017 £114k.0 -

Cheapest is cheapest regardless of cashback amount! Although I know how nice it is to see the cashback totals go up.... if it never left your bank account in the first place that's better... just not as exciting!MFW: Nov 2008 £156k, Jun 2015 £129k, Jun 2017 £114k.0 -

Next mortgage term change came through today. Now paying £688.94 a month over 13 years 11 months. June 2023 is DD but with overpaying the max every month we have the potential to finish the mortgage in March 2016. The big question is can we keep this up. I am finding overpaying the mortgage a real bind at the moment, i really can't wait to get rid of it. More devious plans needed to get rid of it. :-)Mortgage Start jun 2007 £88500 Outstanding Balance £51000
