The RM do stick to their weights as most Post Offices now have those computerised scales that automatically tell the person behind the counter which options can be used and which can't.

Chris369 - there is no weight limit for first class according to this page

so there is certainly no problem with 1.5 or 2kg. By a quirk in the pricing things between 1.75 and 2kg are cheaper special delivery than ordinary first class. I'm sure there must be a weight limit in practice - or can you turn up with a half ton parcel at your local PO!?0 -

Ah damn. I didnt see the bit at the bottom which says
For First Class items over 1kg, it's 88p for every extra 250g.
I just looked at the table and saw it only had prices upto 1KG. Ah well, they are both packaged seperatly now :rolleyes:0
