I agree with the others, forget any silly ideas of trying to get a refund. Even overlooking the fraudulent side of things games that old are probably not even stocked anymore..have you seen how quickly the technology moves on?

Not sure if this is the right thread for this question but I have some pc games(still sealed and in there celefane) that I got when our house was broke into nearly 4 years ago from Insurance company.
So I was wondering if I could get away with taking them back to Game or Asda,Tesco etc and tell them that they were a gift but I didnt have a receipt?
Does anyone think I would get at least an exchange voucher if I did this or would the barcode show that it was not purchased there?
Any experience or advice would be appreciated?
Bow your head in shame, this is a forum for money saving, not for advice on chav scamming/fraud.
I take it you objected to be stolen from 4 years. If you try to steal from a shop like your propose you are no better in my eyes.0 -

I doubt Tesco will phone the police if you try to get a refund on a game that they haven't stocked for years.
Just slap you head and say "DOH!!! I must have bought them from somewhere else" if you get burning matches placed under your finger nails during questioning.0 -

That doesn't stop it being fraud though, or am I still missing something?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I've sold a few items on Play.Com and it was very easy and hassle free.0

Just occasionally if you have a rare game you might get a really good price online - especially for a sealed copy
In terms of the main advice, it's pretty much already been given. Attempting to return games in the manner suggested is fraud and shouldn't be attempted, though on PC games that are at least four years old I don't think you'll be looking at a big payday selling them on in any event."MIND IF I USE YOUR PHONE? IF WORD GETS OUT THATI'M MISSING FIVE HUNDRED GIRLS WILL KILL THEMSELVES."0 -

Some people are not bothered by that sort of thing, obviously.
