Best budget airline?

having seats allocated really reduces everyone's stress levels.
It doesn't reduce mine! When flying Ryanair I stand well back till the scrum is over so it really doesn't bother me, plus I get to have a laugh at all the stupid people in the middle of it. And knowing I didn't pay extra for something completely unneccessary satisfies me so much more than being forced to sit in whichever particular seat the check-in agent decided to give me.0 -
I fly both ryanair and easyjet, out of thiose two I would prefer easyjet, but ryanair often works out cheaper.0

If you're traveling without hold luggage, check in online, have a visa electron card and are flexible with airports and dates, you really can fly with Ryan air for almost nothing. We've done it many times. If you're more limited then I'd recommend EasyJet.
We set up an Electron account solely for the purpose of avoiding the extortionate "card handling fee". It only took 5 minutes online and has saved a fortune.0 -

Why would you feel unsafe flying with ryanair? they have a newer fleet that the vast majority of airlines including BA and servicing is overseen by the civil aviation authority.Cover me in honey and fling me to the hermaphrodites!0

Among EU/US airlines, no.
In rural Africa/dodgy Asian countries, perhaps so. (The EU publishes a list of 'dangerous' airlines which it bans from entering EU airspace, and as long as yours isn't on it there's nothing to worry about.)0 -
Ive used Flybe 4 times now, and can't fault them at all. Courteous staff, website is easy to use, planes are clean and flights reasonably priced. On top of that, they have always been on time.0

My vote would go to FlyBe as well, but no major issues with Ryanair or EasyJet. But FlyBe do make things easier.
