Hi
My AOL contract is about to finish, are there any decent deals around atm?
I dont mind staying with or leaving AOL.
BTW if I leave AOL will I still be able to use my AOL e-mail addresses?
Thanks all

You don't tell us what service you need or what you are paying at present, so hard to advise.
No you will not be able to use your AOL adress with a new ISP.No free lunch, and no free laptop

4 meg is fast enough for most users.
Do you actually need unlimited download-do you know how much data you download each month? A lot of people manage on say 5GB a month, unless you're into downloading videos etc. Having an unlimited deal is going to restrict your choice.
Suggest you look at samknows.com and this will tell you which suppliers are available LLU on your local exchange (look under LLU operators). These are the ISP's that are likely to give you a better deal, because they aren't dependent on BT.
o2 offer a good deal, especially to o2 mobile users, if you are on an o2 LLLU exchange. No free lunch, and no free laptop

I live in Fareham, it looks like I can get O2.
I'll have a look at O2.
If I go to anyone else other than AOL will I still be able to use my AOL email addresses?0 -
I got upto 4 meg with sky for £5 a month and yes you can still use your aol email address

If you are on the Fareham exchange (not necessarily the same as living in the Fareham area) then the LLU operators are o2, Sky, TalkTalk, and Tiscali. Of those my clear preference would be o2. If you are an o2 mobile user you can get up to 8MB starting at £7.34, if not starting at £12.23. First month is free. Sign up through Quidco and I think the current cashback is £70?No free lunch, and no free laptop

I haven't been with AOL since 2004 and I can still access my e-mails from their home page. I often forget about it and the last time I checked in I had over 1400 emails!0

That speaks volumes for AOL's efficiency then! Yes, it does happen, but it's not a deliberate policy. You can often receive on an old account-but you can't send. I think the OP was hoping to maintain her AOL address for both, which you can't normally do.No free lunch, and no free laptop
