New Apple iMac - I want one, but how can I get a discount?

My Macbook was just over £400 a few weeks ago, but it's last year's white model with a tiny scuff underneath. Funnily enough, it seems to work very well, even better when I put 4gb DDR2 in it for £36.
Finding an aluminium one on the refurb store was a bonus (but made me stretch my budget yet further)Space for rent, apply within - Free trial on Thanks button though0 -

It's being rumoured that OS X 10.6, the next version of Apple's operating system, could be released at Apple's Worldwide Developer Conference in May or June.
Anyone thinking of buying a Mac might consider waiting for a few months and seeing what happens. The prices of Apple products often come down a bit after their initial launch too. The price of my iMac came down a little while after I bought it, and Apple sent me the difference, which was nice of them.0 -

Keep an eye on the refurbished page. Usually when new models are released, the old ones are sold on the refurbished page.

That's the old model.
The new one comes with a minimum of a 2.66 GHz Core 2 Duo processor, 2 GB of RAM, a 320 GB HDD and NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics card.
It's also £200 more expensive though.0 -

I know, but early performance indications show not much difference between the 2. Atheistically its identical.
Being MSE, the OP should save themselves over £200 imo.0 -
It's certainly worth considering, no arguments there.0

A Mac Mini with the 2.26 GHz processor option, a 120 GB HDD and the Benq monitor you mention comes to £931.
The cheapest iMac however, which has a 2.66 GHz processor and 320 GB HDD is £949, £18 more expensive.0
