Another PS3 user with Playstation Network problems?

If you run the network test on the PS3 and it tells you your NAT type is type 1 or 2, then you don't need to manually open ports on your router.

I don't think I've done this right. I'll have another go tomorrow.

I need a idiot proof step by step guide for this. I've no idea what ports and static IPs are! Sorry!

Ports, static Ips....and now NATs?? What is a Nat type!

Just run a connection test on your PS3; if it says NAT is type 1 or 2, then you don't need to worry about it.
