'La Tasca YUM! 50% off ALL FOOD...' blog discussion

I've been a couple of times and it's been reasonable food, not great for the money, but with a voucher a fair deal.
I do need a little fast help, my other half has booked us into La Tasca in London tomorrow as we are meeting an old school friend of hers. Now we have already got our Tesco clubcard vouchers for extra deals, but I can't find a 50% off voucher that will be valid?
I'm hoping there is one around, can anyone help or are we stuck paying full price (ergh!).0 -
We went on a Friday and I don't think the offer is valid over the weekends.0

Well... I was impressed by the 50% off voucher, but totally unimpressed by the staff at La Tasca, Deansgate, Manchester. So much so that I won't bother with them again.
Attracted by the salsa dance classes held at the restaurant, we turned up at 12 noon on a Sunday, hoping to eat first then dance the afternoon away. It was locked. It was still locked ten minutes later (opening time was supposed to be 12) though we could see the staff chatting around the bar.
I phoned the restaurant - the call was answered by resting the handset on the bar so I could hear the sound of totally un-customer-focused chatter.
We gave up and ate at Cafe Rouge (open and welcoming). Went back later for the dancing, and wanted coffee. The bar attendant hardly understood English and was totally flummoxed by my request for "decaffeinated coffee". He had to ask the manager to translate. Reminded me of Manuel from Fawlty Towers.
