We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.0 -

edit; I dont do running, instant shin splints......bt walking 15 miles plus no probs
Shin splints is often a form of DOMS (delayed onset muscle soreness) caused by over striking on the heel I think (i.e. a heavy running pattern) unless you have the CCS form of course in which case you should never run because it agreviates it...
A lot of beginner runners get shin pain thats cause by lack of use of the muscles previously - it tends to ease off after a few weeks of running, but again no ideas about which form you get so I'll shush now!0 -
