Hello Lenster...like my new avvy?
...Linda xxIt's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.0 -
Mrs S, you could try positioning your treadmill in front of your laptop or tv or put the laptop/tv in front of the laptop. (You know what I meanNo, I had one delivered and it was broken so I sent it back. They didn't have any more in stock, and I couldn't find another I liked, so I decided to just use the money I would have spent on going to the gym and using the one there.
I find treadmill running and outdoor running are completely different challenges.
Outdoor running is a huge physical challenge, trying to keep my breathing under control, but the kilometres fly by, and time passes so quickly.
Treadmill running is so much more comfortable, and I rarely need my inhaler, but it's a massive challenge mentally. There's a huge boredom factor, and you know you could just stop whenever you want, because you don't need to worry about still needing to get home somehow!
I much prefer running outside, but I would have given up by now if I'd had to battle my asthma all winter.
) Make sure the TV or laptop is at eyesight level and watch TV or Music DVDs and plug some earphones in too or just have it on loud speaker, it will alleviate the boredom trus me. I did this each day for 14 weeks once
