My meal plan needs to be revised. My oven has packed in so need to redo the plan to make it more SC and hob based until the new cooker arrives.

Hi Newlywed. It is just a tin of baked beans heated through with a good generous splodge of brown sauce and about a-third-to-a-half of a big tin of SP pineapple chunks in it. Sounds odd but is most delish! (Well, we think it is anyway... :p;) )

Hi everyone I can't believe how quickly this week has gone by as well  I was convinced it was Thursday when I woke up at first today which hasn't helped :rotfl: Anyhoo this week we are having:

Monday - Omlette/something on toast/salad - quick as its parents evening

Tuesday - Pasta bake, salad & garlic bread

Wednesday - Slow cooker gammon joint, new potatoes, peas & parsley sauce

    Thursday - Sausage pasta

    Friday - Meatballs & spaghetti

Saturday - Lasagne, wedges, salad & crusty bread

Sunday - Chicken casserole, roasties, veg, yorkshire puddings

Breakfasts are cereal, toast, porridge, yoghurts, fruit.

Lunches are soup, sandwiches/crusty bread, things on toast, hot dogs (treat on Saturdays for the kids ;) )

Snacks are anything from the lunch menu, twinks, fruit cake, victoria sandwich cake, fruit, hoummus & veg sticks, cheese & crackers.

Everything is homemade except for the parsley sauce as I found a packet at the back of the pantry the other day :p A lot of meat based meals this week as DS1 (16) & DS2 (14) are constantly hungry at the moment possibly because they've both taken up an extra sport this week (basketball & tae kwon do) on top of the other stuff they do anyway. Most things have hidden veg in, grated or food processed :D

    Happy cooking!

Not that mine are very interesting, it's more about filling up teenagers in this house, but I get loads of ideas from this thread. Maybe you'll have to treat your wife to one new meal per fortnight or something? I wish my DH would cook he runs out of talent/ideas after poached eggs & oven chips :rotfl:

Life is too short to waste a minute of it complaining about bad luck. Find joy in the simple things, show your love for those around you and be grateful for all that you have. :)
