Hi,
Long story as short as possible...

I have some emails which are very time sensitive sent to my gmail account.
I then have a filter set on gmail to fwd the email to my mobile phone, alerting me that I have received specific emails.
I receive the alerts as an sms message.

For years I was with T-mobile and I always got the sms almost instantaneously. (TM charged 10p per sms received from gmail filter.)
My deal from TM got worse as the years went on until I finally bit the bullet and changed to a sim only deal with o2 (£10 pm for 150mins and 300txts).

I am happy with o2 in every way EXCEPT for the fact that the gmail sms alerts can take literally hours to arrive at my phone, then I usually get 3 or 4 together. This is obviously no use for time sensitive emails. (o2 also charge 10p per sms received from gmail filter.)

Was thinking of keeping the o2 for everything else except these gmail alerts and getting a cheap second hand phone and using Tmobile to use for these alerts only. Wondering if anyone has any ideas on cheapest way to do that? I dont want to pay TM solo charges of £15 month minimum..even if I cxd o2 thats still a fiver a month more plus TM charge for voicemail etc on solo sims.

Any ideas gratefully received
