Gonna drop down to BT Broadband option 2 - is it easy to do?

I've decided that £26.99 is just too much to be paying for our BT Yahoo Broadband and I would like to drop down to option 2 at £22.99. There doesn't seem to be a way of downgrading online, so I'm presuming I'll have to do it over the phone. In the past my experiences talking to their customer service people haven't been the best, so I'm hoping it's gonna be quick and easy. Has anyone else done this recently - are they helpful or am I gonna be on the phone half an hour with them? Also, I can't seem to find the telephone number to directly get through to the people that deal with packages, so if anyone has it it'd be much appreciated. Many thanks. :)

I currently pay £25 so not worth dropping for £2, time to look elsewhere I think.

anybody managed to successfully negotiate a price decrease without changing options, i.e. ask for a MAC code to leave to a competitor.
