It also depends on which part of the country you are studying in, I can imagine London/tourist cities would have lots of part time student jobs.
An awful lot of unemployed students are lacking in initiative (waiting for a job to come to them) or slow off the mark (waiting til they have run out of money) or think certain roles are beneath them (unwilling to clean or work night shifts).
I relocated to Bradford two years ago, an area not known for it's high employment rates nor it's tourist industry! From applying for college to actually moving was just six weeks yet I had two offers of part-time work on the table when I arrived.I posted out over thirty CVs on spec, came up on the train for two interviews a couple of weeks before the move itself, chased up every CV with a phone call or personal visit. There's work to be had if you really want and need it.

You could have spent that time studying or looking for a job...
To the OP - they're likely to ask about any issues working late/how you'll get home. What jobs you've had before, how you work with people, what you're studying etc. Make sure you go in with some questions yourself as you'll go up in their estimation if you know a little about the job you're going for and ask informed questions.0 -

I didn't realise reading a newspaper and keeping up to date with current affairs would be a waste of time0 -
I want to know the result as well! Shall we start a petition?Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0

Hi all. Sorry I haven't replied to this thread since before the interview, I haven't had time to blink the last few days.
The interview went ok, for my first interview. I got 15 minutes early and said 'My name is XXXX, I'm here for the XXXX interview', they gave me a quick form to fill out and then 30 minutes later (was 30 mnutes after my interview was meant to be), the manager came out and asked me to come into her office. It was a single interview, just me and her.
The first question she asked was 'Tell me something about yourself', which was when I told her I was paritally sighted and just gave her a bit of information. She just said ok and continued with the interview.
I was in there for about 30 minutes and then she just said, do you have any questions, so I said ''I know you currently have over 100 cinemas around the UK, how does the Odeon see itsself expanding over the years'', which she gave me a long conversation about their new Odeon in Liverpool, and how they're going into the 3D business.
One of my friends who went for the interview as well (Different time) was told he'd been phoned today or tomorrow, whereas she told me towards the end of the week, so not quite sure why he got days and i got a rough idea, but hey, I'll find out in a day or two.
Thanks for all your advise and help, everyone. I'll post in here when I get a response from them.0
