would it be cheaper for you to book for 2 people and then just have the 'second person' not turn up?

I always book just for one person in a room & have used the savings many times. Sometimes I have a double room & other times a twin room. I book which ever is cheapest. Never had any problems, the price is per room not per person!

    Happy travels

I'm not IHG staff but it's always worth calling to check! However, you won't have much other comeback beyond trying to claim on your insurance, which may or may not be one of the ones paying out.

Apologies if it's a stupid question but is it ok to print the voucher and hand write in the conf no etc. For some reason the pdf seems to be read only and I can't overtype.

    Thanks

cheers, thought that seemed a bit backwards in times of modern technology but if it works I'm happy. Got a rate of $70 a night for a 7 night stay in Sarasota v's the standard rate of $117 so I'm very happy. I can live without priority club points for a $47 a night saving :T

Were looking at Hotels in Egypt (Cairo).

We are looking for 2 adults, 2 kids (6 & 2). The 2yr old normally goes into a Cot, which means we need a room for 3 plus cot. When i put in 2 adults, 2 kids into the search engine, it brings up 1 hotel which will take us as the rest take 3 people.

Any ideas how to get them to run with a cot on top of the booking.?

used the F&F rate a few weeks ago and they didnt ask for the form. Watch out though as they say they take the money straight away and they dont, we thought we had paid for the room and we hadnt :(

Had to smile though when the person in front of me in the queue asked reception how much the walk in rate was and it was only $5 more than we paid.
