Jeez, more than 400 texts a month. She must have thumbs like Popeye's forearms!0

MrsCB, that's an easy one.
Tell your Dear Daughter not to exceed 400 texts per month.

Using o2 treats?
2211 from your handset.. only other option is upgrading contract cost.0 -
only thing I can think of but possibly not suitable if she's on contract depending on if she's in term is to change to payg text anythime, unlimited texts for £30 a month top up
unlimited = 12,000 texts0 -

Yes, I have been in that situation MrsCB. My daughter is now 23.not that easy.....have you tried telling a teenager what to do or not do:rotfl:
she can easily send 60 a day...mostly bl88dy one word replies etc:mad:
She had a contract phone, and after a couple of months of overspend, and discussions about it, we agreed that the amount of over spend would be deducted from her pocket-money. You have to stick to your agreement though. I guarantee that after one month of clawing back the difference you will see a change. If not, continue with the hard tactic. It is difficult, but it is a good way to appreciate the value of money.

I'm on this tarif and had the same problem - when i spoke to O2 they offered to swap my free O2 - O2 calls bolt on for the unlimited texts bolt on. That might be worth a try if she doesn't need the O2-O2 calls.
Alternatively if she's been with O2 for a while you could try talking to retentions for a deal....0 -
typically its a new 18 month contract....she only used about 50 peviously so thought 400 would do.......worth a call to o2 about swapping the free o2 calls.....I'm on this tarif and had the same problem - when i spoke to O2 they offered to swap my free O2 - O2 calls bolt on for the unlimited texts bolt on. They offered it straight away for me - no problems. But I am currently on a sim only tariff, not an 18 month contract. Don't know if that will make any difference....0
