Underlay for laminate flooring?
Comments

Don't put carpet underlay under your laminate under any circumstances!
Carpet underlay is designed to be soft and spongy, not to support a rigid wooden board. The spongyness of the underlay will put constant undeue stresses onto the joints of the wood flooring, and cause them to break in a short period of time.
You will require a laminate underlay for this purpose. Most DIY shops sell this, and you can get loads of different qualities on the internet websites. From experience, the best product is TIMBERMATE XL from carpet-underlay-shop.co.ukProfit=sanity

Many thanks every one, I lost my thread and have just found it. Good underlay seem to be expensive, any cheaper options most appreciated. I have floor boards in the house.
