And stick. Be keen but firm. We managed to get 50k of a house at 300k - already built and the developers very keen to sell, so I really should be saying something more like 125,000 plus your house but for Stratford I think those prices have already been adjusted in a downwards direction.
Do they have it as a showhome? I'm tempted to go and look at it if I [strike]can be bothered to move[/strike] have time.
I really like three storey homes but on a smaller scale really - you're missing out on an awful lot of downstairs space there for the sake of that many bedrooms upstairs, none of which are really big enough to be used as anything else. The lovely thing about having a big house is loads of downstairs space - whereas yours actually seems to have the same downstairs space as my mother in law's three bed. - it looks like it's roughly 2000 square feet (bit less with the top floor in the eaves) which means downstairs is about 600-700 which is indeed about the size of a nice three bed.
Hi,
Yes there is a showhome on site. I know what you are saying about the 3 storey homes as we are in one now and the downstairs space is compromised. I would ideally like to purchase one with a bigger downstairs space but they are soooooo much more expensive and I really like the area/ delvelopment. Are you local also?0 -
I used to be but I've moved a little further away (to find a bigger, cheaper house!) about half an hour away now. I fancy a visit to a showhome though, see what's in it.
I know a beautiful big barn conversion coming up near Worcester shortly - higher spec, much bigger downstairs and on budget. Part ex considered, lol!Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Ok so we looked at the showhome and discovered that next to the 450k house we like is social housing, so as this is the reason we want to move it's a no goer.
We have seen another new build, small development a 3 4bed houses. It's priced at 330k (next door sold for 370k last april). They say they have priced it for a quick sale. What would be a reasonable offer given that we want to part exchange?
Thanks everyone in advance0 -
450k house = social housing. I assume it's got a lot of bedrooms.0
