Halifax: House prices down -2.3% MoM, 17.7% YoY, 19.68% from peak.

It doesnt get around the fact that the overal trend is down, hard, and the recession hasnt even bitten hard yet.

Mich, start a thread on how house prices have increased this year, you might wish to add that the govt are thinking of bringing back MIRAS financed by an increase in tax on savings

You are not far off being right, but instead of using wherever those figures come from, why don't you use the real Halifax numbers from;
