I am currently with orange on a business contract
I have to give notice to leave orange (30 days) my contract ends on 8th April, so I intend to give notice on 8th March.

Do I have to give notice by Phone/fax/letter ?

At what point do I request a PAC code to move my number to vodafone ?

Usually for a PAC code it would be the 8th of April, As thats when the contract is over, If you request it before hand you may get a really small early termination fee added on. Theres a differance between giving 30 days notice and taking a PAC code, As a PAC cancels the contract pretty much as soon as you give it to the other network.
  • I phoned Orange on 150 from my mobile on Monday and requested my PAC which they mailed to me and my contract terminates today when I transfer my PAC to O2. My account was already out of contract so think as sporedude said you might have to pay a small fee, but don't think it'll be much.

    Kirsty,

I assume you work for Vodafone.

If possible please mail me direct or send a private message, so we can discuss.
