can you help? o2 what does it mean combination of both
i have an o2 sim card. which i get 100 anytime anynetwork minutes for £10.00 top up.
i then opt in for a calls 50 bolton which gives me 50 anytime any network minutes for £7.99 a month.
so ive got 150 minutes anytime anynetwork for £10.00 top up and i have £2.00 credit left to use for whatever i wish.
what i dont understand is, and ive searchd o2 website..
they said on the sim pack "get 300 free messages, or 100 anytime minutes, or a combination of both."
how do i get combination of both?
second part::::
my sim pack also said £40.00 worth of calls and messages... and some sim cards say £30.00 worth of text messages. so if i take call charges which is 40p a minute... that works out 40p x 100 mins = £40.00 for £10.00 top up. or 10p per text x 300 text messages = £30.00 worth of texts.... so this writing or these sim cards are infact the same... one states "£40 worth of calls and messages" and another states "£30.00 worth of texts" but both are same.
my second question is maybe i can use £40.00 worth of calls and messages sim card to make a mixture of calls and messages as exmaple below:
i make 10 x 10p messages = £1.00
i make 98 minutes x 40p/minute = £39.00
where as the "£30 worth of text messages" sim card i cant mix and match?
an o2 sales person told me in email, the sim cards are just the same. does anyone know about this clearly?
can i mix calls and messages with the sim pack which stated £40.00 worth of calls and text messages" ?
and please reply to my first question which is how do i make a combination of calls and messages using a tarrif choice and not bolton?

with the 100 mins option, it is you can either have 100 mins or 100 texts to use as you like i.e if you use 50 mins for talking you could you the other 10 as text messages. You can't have the 300 texts and 100 minutes together, it's one or the other.
Didn't understand the second part of your message, but that might be the beer!0 -
i know you cant have 300 sms and 100 free minutes. thats the main option.
option 1. 300 free texts.
option 2. 100 free minutes.
option 3. a combination of both.??? << this is my question.
are you saying i can make 50 minutes calls 40p X 50mins = £20.00 .... im left with £20.00 to use as text messages?
my question is can i mix calls and msgs using the 100 minute option.0 -
Freelance - to try to make this clear as mud.
Your £10 top up will get you either 100 xnet or 300 texts and leave the £10 to be used at their normal PAYG rates - when O2 say or a combination of both they are trying to point out that you will still have the original £10 topup to use as you like at their normal PAYG rates - 40p a min xnet or 10p a text.
Where the £40 calls come in - is they are trying to stress that's what the extra 100xnet freebie would cost at their normal 40p rate and the £30 text is the 300 at 10p.
So just an example - the £10 get you 100xnet and then 25xnet minutes by using the £10 at 40p rate. Or 100xnet and 100 texts by using the original £10 at 10p text. You can only opt for either the 100xnet or 300texts - its up to you how you use the original £10 at their PAYG rates.
Hope this helps.0 -
a Quote from O2's guide that come with the SIM card.
Option 2 Give you 100 *points*
1 point can be used to send a text message, or call 1 min X-Net.
So this is combo of both.
Like if you send 3 messages you will be left with 97 points which you can use for calls.0
