This applies to Proline DVDP706W (might also apply to DVDP705W).

    1 - open DVD tray
    2 - type 81328 on remote control
3 - Region is displayed on screen
4 - Press Enter/Select (button in middle of arrows on remote) to loop round the region codes. (9 is for all regions)
    5 - close DVD tray

Anyone know if any of these Portable DVDs have "inputs"?

  • We ordered the 7" one and it arrived today, looks excellent, plays dvd-r copies as well as originals, very good picture quality. I am very impressed.

Don't think that it has an input, although it has an output.

    Thanks Jenny Wren,
I was looking to replace the aging portable TV in the kitchen and free up some worktop real-estate at the same time.
I thought it was unlikely to have an input as it would also require a built-in tuner - but we can live in hope.

Took delivery of mine today - What a cracking piece of kit. Ran it on the supplied re-chargeable battery and it ran for 2 hours. Car & AC adapters supplied - good case and headphones - an all round bargain, cheers to OP
A bargain is something you don't need at a price you can't resist.

eBuyer are great if there are no problems, but appauling when things go wrong. I have just asked them to delete my account - I have been with them for years but they really have no clue about customer service. They screwed up my order and then, after missing the delivery time, asked me for more cash because the product price had changed. It was only £6 but there was a principle at stake. They had given the same product a different code and said the product I had ordered was out of stock!

I asked them if they were really prepared to lose a customer for £6 on a £50 product (my orders in the past have totalled £2000). They said yes!!! I walked.

if you can't find one of the Somerfield players how about this Philips portable

Its a bit more singing and dancing than the Proline ebuyer players and at full price goes for over £100 if you want quality I'd recommend one of these .

Or if you want a 8" try this ferguson 8"

Not seen an 8" player cheaper than this £74.95 Ex VAT
    £88.07 Inc VAT
