Shop at the end of Summerhill Avenue in the Stormont area, packs of 4 for around £1.50, I think.

Anywhere around city centre/South Belfast? Last time I got them they were 59p each (dearer than they used to be but worth it if they are soon to disappear from the shelves), I wonder if the pound shop still do them. I have a collection of about 20-odd, I never want to run out of them! LOL

Why not buy an energy saving lightbulb that puts out the same amount of light?

Sorry, but I think there are some places that an energy saving bulb doesn't work. I find the light from it very harsh and sore on my eyes.

I do use them in some areas, but where I spend a lot of time and relax or read, then I don't use them.

I am a trade wholesaler/distributor and am pleased to announce that we currently have 200,000 100w bulbs on their way to Ireland.....

Should keep you all going for a week or two!

I appreciate the concerns on energy efficiency, but as stated the light given off isn't great, plus few of the light manufacturers make fittings.

kudos, I'll take half. :rotfl: Where are they to be sold?

ballyblack and Marty J, they may be dear to run but those crappy energy saving things are rubbish (far too slow to light up, and so dim) and are destroying my eyes slowly but surely. I am stocking up!

Also I would avoid using them where they are turned on for a short time ie halls and stairs as it takes them a while to "warm up" They are dangerous here.

Are they not banning them shortly? I'm sure I seen something about them been withdrawn from sale. Must be just the South.
