Are you preparing for economic collapse?

Actually, its not more expensive
38p per pint of fresh milk (Tesco 4 pints skimmed) versus 23p per pint of dried using Tesco value dried milk at £2.09 for 9 pints.
dried milk tastes like water.
If you want to prepare stop drinking milk. You don't need it (especialy in a dried format)0 -
I sometimes put powdered milk in my bath water.
Honestly? we are doing as we, well I, always have done, living within our means and trying to put some aside. If there is total collapse of the world as we know it we are well placed, living in a cohesive communtity, with land for growing and rearing food and we have dobbins for transport, but these are not adaptations, this is how we live.0 -

Futile. Streams can easily be diverted, polluted or dammed. Springs/wells are the way to go:)0 -
I think the definition of Economic Collapse should be agreed upon first.
To me it would mean you will starve once your Tinned Food has all been used up, and the water you need to hydrate your skimmed milk will come from a stream, or collected rainwater cos after economic collapse the water board won't still be pumping nice fresh water into your home.'In nature, there are neither rewards nor punishments - there are Consequences.'0 -
I'll take that as a no then.“A budget is telling your money where to go instead of wondering where it went.” - Dave Ramsey0

The water will come from the water I am storing and I'm hoping to get a water filter system.“A budget is telling your money where to go instead of wondering where it went.” - Dave Ramsey0 -

Very good.:D
I think saving to cover your wages should be as far as we need to go really.
If it gets to collapse/NWO stage. It would be a free for all so pointless to prepare really IMHO.
But I think we are just in for a bit of cutting back not the end of civilisation as we know it.0
