Best coverage

Hi this is my first ever post.
I have been a "regular" Orange customer form many years just shelling out cast on what is probably not a very competitive plan (talk 60). I want a change and have looked at some deals on E2Save etc.

My only issue is that I spend a lot of time on the top of hills (Im a hang glider pilot) and I need good coverage in remote areas (Wales etc).

Which are the best coverage networks - they all seem to claim to be the best

Hope someone can help?

Apart from 3 they are all pretty good and all have holes in the country side. If this is a serious issue for you then I would get hold of some of the free SIMs available from time to time and you will soon see who has the best coverage. In fact, I think you can do that anyway since you can just do a manual scan of networks and the best coverage networks will go to the top of the list.

You ought to be aware that mobile network providers quote their coverage by population, not land mass. Therefore when they say they cover 97% of the population that they do not mean that 97% of the land mass is covered. The best way to test it is by trying any specific areas on a PAYG tariff.

Take a look here. They give you info on 3, Orange, T-Mobile, O2 and VodaPhone coverage by postcode. Might be the best place for the info your looking for.
