After following a link from another forum user I have been looking at http://www.idnet.net.uk/broadband/default.jsp I have emailed them and spoke to them on the phone (freephone support !) with a few general questions, it's not a call centre they are helpful polite and easy to get hold of.
You supply your own modem or buy it at a good price through them and you pay for the connection (Your line being switched to broadband)
The upside of this you are not tied into a 12 month contract if you need to come out for any reason. Also support is free email and free phone.
I was wondering if anyone has used these guys or is using them with success.
All sounds good to me so far.

I use them and have had no problem with them. Very fast speeds. No port blocking or traffic shaping.
The system went down for a few hours on New Year Day but the technical support guys were replying to emails and sorted it out on a bank holiday - now that's support!0 -
If you want to compare them to some of the big ISPs then look here:
http://www.adslguide.org/isps/compare.asp?aol=ON&bt=ON&bulldog=ON&idnet=ON&tiscali=ON&freeserve=ON&zen=ON&cmp_action=Compare
It's reated on scores given by users and speed tests done through the adslguide website. No contest really.0 -
Idnet is a great isp.0
