Live a little.;)

It's OK saying Live a Little but I will never go into one of those places again especially in London. It took months to sort out both times.2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040 -

I carried cash in a money belt in the states, no problem there when filling up.
All im saying is be careful, its just like you go to a restaurant have a meal
hand over your card and the waiter walks off with it.... next thing you know
the card has been skimmed.0 -

Common sense aproaches such as changing passwords regularly. using only secure connections and only using reputable ( and busy ) cafes will keep you safe.
The cafe / library takes reasonable precautions - so should you.
Change Ebay passwords daily. Watch who is behind you. Don't rely simply on trust.
But above all get on with life - sometimes it will go wrong - as Forrest Gump said 'sh*t happens'qui tacet consentire -

I thought this thread had died a death.. but it's turned into a heated debate.
"criticism and judgement from their armchairs and have never even been in a cafe or library should at least make some leg work research"
There was no criticism or judgement in my post, just a statement of facts about IT security.. I have no need to do any legwork, cos I'm not that interested..
"I'm no naive little fluffy, but a security consultant". Is that an IT security consultant? If so what do you do all day if there isn't a problem?
"I wonder if Intel or albertross would buy petrol in the States". I'd love to, it's much cheaper than the UK. You should also live a little if you are too scared to carry cash. If I only had 10 cents in my pocket, they would have to blow my brains out to get it.
Why don't you all disable your virus scanners, and live a little. Life's too short.
