    Cheers OP.

My current canon has been excellent but is on its last legs with paper feed issues and now no ink!

Not expecting miracles from this, but for £20 it'll do me fine.

Only issue I can see is the ink is expensive-ish, even for non-originals. But not much worse than my current 3 x separate colours combined so no biggy for me,

I think the colour cartridge used is a Canon CL-38, but please confirm before ordering.

So anyway based on that a quick google of " Canon CL-38 comptaible" does produce some results at about £12-£13. Not that cheap I suppose.

I bought this model a couple of weeks back from Amazon for around £30 - brilliant, would recommend!

Asda were recently selling the Canon mp190 online for £19.

But if you do buy one, then be prepared to throw it away...

Black Cartridges (PG37) are about £10 and colour cartridges (CL38) are about £11 so it's cheaper to buy a new machine every time rather than the ink.

Not only that, but the PG37 and CL38 are low use cartridges, meaning that they are only half full.
The alternative "full to the top" cartridges are PG40 (price aprox £15) and CL41 (price about £19).
You might be able to get remanufactured cartridges a bit cheaper, but remember that these are second hand so youre taking a gamble on whether they will work or not.

If you're looking for a new print/scan/copier then my advice is get an Epson (base model aprox £30) or Brother .
That way you'll be able to get compatible inks for as little as £2 each.
