It was one of those sold in Tescos especially at christmas. It has a cardboard 'wrapper' saying 'beef joint ready to roast'.
Thank you for reply, I thought it would be okay- its never been defrosted, just forgotten.July Win: Nokia 58000 -
OK, slow cooking will probably be no good for that one, just follow instructions on packet, I am sure it will be ok. Enjoy xx0

Hi melie,
Defrost is and see how it looks/smells. Food doesn't go off when it's frozen but it can deteriorate and not taste as good as it could.
If it was me and it smelt and looked ok, then I'd cook it.

I agree it may not be as tasty as it could have been but still should be perfectly edible unless it smells off. If cooked with herbs, then I think it should taste fine.

Hello,
We made some burgers about a year ago and then froze the leftovers. WOuld they still be OK to eat now or should they be chucked?
There are only two, frozen raw.
Would appreciate your thoughts!!!0 -
Have done this, suspect over a year old too! They might seem a litttle dry round the edges. If they have been kept frozen and were in good condition wehn you put them in, you won't get poisoned. All taste the same when the gherkins, cheese slice, ketchup, mayo etc is on. I swear I could serve sheets of cardboard and they wouldn't notice[SIZE=-1]"Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Thanks both. It was fresh when we made the burgers and I am always very careful about freezing so hopefully they will be fine!0
