The Sun / Alton Towers Deal (not all it seems!)

Last year the skyride was hardly ever working, so there was a lot of walking :rotfl: They've got new cars on it now and it seems to be working
I still have to get my inhaler out when we walk to the rapids, but I'm not very fit
tut tut! lmao
The skyride wasn't working when we were there either, but then we are all very fit. I am badly asthmatic so can't actually run fast for long time or I wheeze, but I cycle and walk over 20 miles each day so am used to it. we tend to run about between rides and we even eat our lunch in the queue!
Good job we're all hardy.Imagine bringing it all back up as the oblivion drops?:rotfl:
We walkied over instead of using the monorail last time we went, too. It takes about 40 minutes to get in a carriage! There is so much time wasted at AT. massive driveway, walk to the monorail, wait for that, queue to pay, then massive walk.
least with these tickets you dont have to queue to pay. We walk over, quickly in, then get running!I can be brown I can be blue I can be violet and sky. I can be hurtful I can be purple I can be anything you like..Gotta be green gotta be mean gotta be everything more...0 -

We get the fastpasses too, saves even more time. Costs, but we've saved all that money getting free tickets, so figure we might as well fork out a bit and make the most of them.******** Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity *******"Always be calm and polite, and have the materials to make a bomb"0 -

How old are your children? Just being nosey
12 year olds count as adults, although I'm not sure if this is checked at the gate. You don't have to pay for toddlers until they are 4 years old. My boy is nearly 4 and is 110cm tall and staff ask him as he walks through the gate, because he looks as if he should be old enough to pay.52% tight0 -
I'd like 2 tickets for either the 16th or 17th September-
I have the 22nd and the 23rd of september available to swap.
Thanks in advance0 -
It's £22 for a child on the alton towers website too, if you book online. They also let you have early ride time, let you in at 9am before the crowds - I didn't know that
But they might only let the child in and not the rest of you.

Thanks Jellyhead, kids are 10, 8 and 6 so would have to pay child prices for all 3. In the past we have been cheeky and taken a 2 for 1 voucher with us and asked in the queue if anyone wanted to go halves.....don't know how long our luck would hold out with that one.....offers/holidays etc aren't made for families with more than 2 children!0
