    Good to see you got ur sink unblocked!!

    I normally clean the u-bend once a month so it keeps the water flowing.

    Maybe thats an idea now you now how easy it is to remove!!

    This usually happens because people put fat and food down the sink and eventually it collects and solidifies.

    Also, I think it is often caused by the finish on the plastic pipes. I've noticed with some of ours that the plastic pips are ragged rather than smoooth at the ends. Because they are ragged the bits of plastic tend to act as filters and bits start to get caught up on them and over a period of time and the resultant build-up causes a blockage. Whenever I encounter this problem I get a sharp knife or some fine sandpaper and just smooth off the roughness from the ends of the pipe. I think that this will stop any build-up and reduce the likelihood of the problem recurring.
