Damn, they didn't email me any reservation confirmation. If they had, I would have taken it in.

When should the offer have ended, then? Should it still be current?

Didn't make any difference for me. Took in all my printouts to prove the price, the girl on the till said it never was at that price, the manageress (Hitler with boobs) checked and said it was but expired yesterday. Couldn't really be bothered to stand there arguing with them as from the tone of the manageress' voice I could tell she wasn't going to budge.
  • Just been and collected Hogwarts playset & free H. P. Duelling set fom Argos in Sheffield (reserved it last night) only charged me £7.49 ;D.

    I just picked mine up.

I did try to pay on the internet last night as I've had experience before of prices doubling over night.

The Argos site kept timing out last night due to too much traffic - so I R&Rd.

I explained this to the store manager - he checked yesterdays price and then gave them to me at the £7.49 price.

Thank goodness for fair minded managers.

I have a copy of my reservation slip which shows the price as of last night if anybody wants it.

    PM me
  • I had the increased price in store as well.

I did explain that I had made special trip in and paid parking but they were not having it, all for a few quid.

This was not obvious as a pricing mistake to me, it could well have been a genuine price reduction as it said.

No joy for me either :(
Guess I should have bought online last night instead of reserving.
Rang CS and they said the site had problems last night showing 28% off instead of 20%, but it should have been right when put into basket - not in my case, still showed as 7.49.
May have to email CS and have a rant.

Got Scooby Doo 2 DVD for 5.99 tho :)
