A lot of these offers are coming up more expensive on Ring & Reserve. Strongly suggest that you print out a copy of the website page just before heading off to collect, as they will very likely try arguing that it is "the price instore on the day".0

Don't really think we will have a leg to stand on on this one, it states everywhere as always price you pay is price on day in the store!
I think it's safe to assume that someone at Argos is taking the p*** a little here this has happened three times now!
Can't fault them really I would have a laugh if I could too wouldn't you?Four guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.Together we can make a difference.0 -

I ordered my Harry Potter stuff for home delivery, as the website was too busy for store stock checking.
Their T&C's allow them to change the price if there is an "error", however I have received a confirmation email for the original low price.
We will see what happens....British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0 -
Reserved 2 of these last night at a total of £14-98. Went to pick them up this morning and was told that the offer expired yesterday and I would now have to pay £14-99 each >:(
Would have ordered them online but for my mother's experience with them this week. She waited in all day Wednesday for delivery of a shaver she ordered, only for nothing to arrive. When she rung them up she was told it was out of stock and due to the "web site not working properly", customers aren't being notified.
Personally, I sometimes think Argos are taking the pi&&. Oh well, on to the next bargain :)
BTW, I took in all the printouts from last night showing the total to be £14-98, but it doesn't make any difference .......... "Sorry sir, the price you pay is the price in store on the day you collect ... blah, blah, blah"0 -

Yup, had all that crap this morning when I went to buy it after reserving it on the website last night. Except, which is obviously different from what some people experienced, the Playset came up on the till as £7.49 on its own, but was £14.99 including the set of figures. (This last part was confirmed in a leaflet instore this morning.)
I had originally ordered it very late last night, possibly early this morning, at £7.49, including the figures set free, (£2.49 separately).
The manager told me that he had no way of checking on the internet because they don't have the internet instore, only something introduced recently that they call 'intra-net', their own internal online checker. However, they don't tell the stores what offers have been put in the press or in leaflets distributed locally. And half the time, their internal intra-net system doesn't work properly either. Basically their job is a pain! He said he wouldn't mind AT ALL if I complained to Head Office about it!
Anyway, he said if I had a screenprint or something he could see what he could do, so I went home, but of course everything had changed.
ALWAYS PRINT OUT YOUR RESERVE SCREEN, showing prices, in cases of special offers. They're not obliged to honour them, but sometimes will if you make a fuss, but you need evidence.
I phoned customer services and spoke to someone for ages about it, and she phoned my local manager and agreed to honour the playset at £7.49, and the figures at £2.49 - not what I had asked for, but she said she had no record of it ever being offered at £7.49 for both. I said that the people who decide what the prices are going to change to must have a record and asked to speak to someone who knew what those prices had been.
A manager from H Office phoned me back and said they had no record of that price for both - I know it was on there, damn it! - and they could only honour £7.49 and £2.49. Final offer. I accepted in reasonably good grace. Plus they said they would hold my reservation (at the same price) until Christmas Eve.
Still a good deal, and my nephew will be very happy with it. And I do have a £10 voucher to use up after they refunded the price of the tapes to go with the Sharp Mini DV Camcorder my son bought for himself in a recent deal. (Originally bought packet of tapes using voucher as a standby in case they wouldn't honour the inclusive camcorder & tapes half price deal last week.)
So if you want the playset at £7.49, it might help if you tell them that it came up at Sutton store (in Surrey) at £7.49 for the playset after being reserved last night on the Internet. Also that Sutton are honouring the price of £2.49 for the figures pack. They made it clear that this was a one-off goodwill gesture, but it might help, you never know.
Good luck boys and girls!

I ordered hogwarts castle, thunderbirds figures and match box hero city last night for store pick up. I've just got them now, however at the till they charged me double what i was quoted. I questioned the price and was told that a mistake was made at head office, the offer should run for three days.
Anyway they overode the system and gave me the goods at the rock bottom price.0
