My new washing machine is possessed - help!

My new Zanussi 16581 arrived yesterday. It is all set up in the Utility. I ran a cotton 95 wash first as suggested in the manual. This was fine.
Then I washed some towels on a Mini 30 wash. It vibrated and moved across the utility. The noise was horrendous and we had to try and hold it still for fear of it pulling its pipes out  .
I have checked that it is level and it is, what else can I do? Is it faulty?
Thanks

They sometimes fit transportation fittings that have to be removed before use for the first time.
Who fitted it? and have you checked in the hand book?I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.0 -
It was delivered, hubby fitted it. Only thing mentioned in the manual is that it is level.
What do 'transportation fittings' look like? The drum was clear before we put the wash on.0 -
They would be mentioned in the booklet I would have thought.
They used to fit bolts and/or clips to stop the drum swaying while being transported.I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.0 -
You usually have a few long bolts at the rear of the machine to remove.0

The washer was fine on the 95 cotton wash with nothing in it.
Can't see any more fittings.0 -
Transit bolts are usually located at the back of the machine. Going by the manual, Installation info starts on page 32. Make sure you have done everything listed before operating the machine again. Heres a link to the instruction manual. Just scroll to page 32, follow the step by step guide and you are ready to go.

Bit of a heads up. You may find a couple of the bolts difficult to remove or broken because you have already used it. There shouldnt be any damage to the machine though.
Hope this helps;)0 -
Look at the back of the machine. Do you see 2 or 4 (usually 4) large-ish bolts?
Every single machine I've used, you're meant to remove these transportation bolts before use. These bolts stop the drum moving about during transportation, which would otherwise end up self destroying itself - if you don't remove these 4 bolts before use, you're likely to damage the machine!Everybody is equal; However some are more equal than others.0 -
Hmmm, don't remember hubby doing any of page 32
Then again he did hand me the instuction manual to read
Thanks for your help, I will check the bolts when I get home, you peeps are brill :T
Lets hope it is okay.0 -
TBH, the bolts Ive removed from one or two washing machines would not be broken off by the strength on the washing machine motor. If you try and turn the drum with the bolts in place with your hand it will not budge. I would of thought the motor would burn out first, or the machine would have a safety system fitted where the motor was shut down when the temperature got to high.0
