Hi peeps.
After somem nightmares with bt not to mention the pricing structure I'm looking for some views on two ISP's.
Talk Talk or Virgin?
Sky don't have a chance as I'm not going to be bullied into taking a tv package just to get internet. Virgin dont have fibre optic in my area so its copper wires or nothing. I have spoken to Talk Talk (TT) and they seem ok, no hidden extras, similar package as we have with bt and the pricing seems heavenly .......... BUT.
Why do I get this queezy feeling about going to TT? The prices seem good but are they too good .... wheres the catch? Unreliable? slow connections? awful technical support?
Guys I'm looking for some suggestions.

Oh thats great , many thanks. To be honest I never thought of looking first but you sent the information I was looking for.
Once again Thank you.0 -
I liken buying internet the same as buying insurance, it is a minefield, but I have found, like insurance, you usually get what you pay for.
Find ISP's that do not stitch you in to long contracts, find ISP's that do not use premium rate support numbers, you will not go far wrong.
Cheapest initially isn't usually cheapest in the long term.0 -
Im, not too bothered by technical support anyway so long as the problem is my side of the front door I can most likely fix it or rewire it. But after dealing with my current isp and trying to get a 4 month old problem resolved, I am loathed to renew the contract in april and pay for 8mb connections when I only get 3mb.
I used to get about 7.5mb but it nose dived one day and never recovered, they refuse to escalate the problem as its "my fault" as I dont use their BTHH.0
