Cancelling an Orange Contract

And now, the time is near,
And so I face the final curtain,
My friends, I'll say it clear,
I'll state my case, of which I'm certain...

My Orange contract is finally coming to an end, I've been with them for around 8 years now, and they've got nothing that can match the iPhone in my eyes, so I want out. I've got around 3 months left, and despite my earlier thread, I'm just going to stick it out. But when can I give them my month's notice? The contract's up on something like June 10th, so can I give them my notice on May 10th? Or do I have to wait until the contract is actually up?

Give them notice 30 days before your contract ends

Don't forget to ask for your PAC code at the same time you give 30 days notice on May 10th. That way you can take your number to O2. (Assuming you want to, but I'd want to for a number I've had for 8 years).

You might be amazed at some of the deals Orange pester you with during the last 10 or so days of your period :P

    Thanks for that!!

On a secondary note, if I get a contract with o2, but find the signal is poor in my house/at work (it used to be many moons ago), where do I stand?

A bit stuck if you want the iPhone. Maybe get a free o2 PAYG sim to see what the reception is like in your area before splashing out?

You give notice 30 days before, ask for pac and wait till a week before contract is up before taking new phone. Means you get your money's worth from Orange.
