Sky+, BT phone, Sky/BT Broadband?

Hi all,
Moving house next week, need the tv, phone and broadband sorted out.
Here's what I'm thinking -
1) My work requires me to have a BT (must be BT) line for a business expensed fax. I'm assuming the house will have a BT line that we'll just need to get activated, rather than a full installation (correct me if that's a silly assumption).
2) Want to get Sky+. I'm told I need a phone line. Will the BT one do, even if it's being used by the business expensed fax?
3) Probably going to go with Sky for broadband although I could add BT broadband to the BT bill and take it off what I claim back from my employer. Again does the phone line matter
Can I do this all with one phone line or will i need a 2nd line?
Opinions please
thanks in advance

1) Yes, don't assume! I am moving next week, and despite the previous occupant saying there was a phone, and there being a BT phone point, BT say I have to pay the £130 reconnection cost!
2) I believe so, you would just get a double socket extension (about £4 in Tesco i think) The phone line for Sky is for them to update and retrieve usage info, and for you to 'press the red button'. There are many people who unplug their sky boxes from the phone line
3) Sky+ is currently £99 with £30 connection. You get free Broadband base level or you can upgrade to their max level for £10pm. However, SkyHD is currently £49 with free connection, but it does involve you having HD package for an extra £9.75pm. If you use Quidco, and can do the entire process online, they are offering £50 for Sky+ and £100 for HD. I am hoping I can convince my bf we need HD lol0 -
Happy Girl: If the line is physically there, and requires no work onsite, then most likely they won't charge for reconnection as long as you take out 12m line rental with BT,
cervus: what is your firm's actual definition of a 'BT line'? BT as call supplier, BT as line supplier, BT as wholesale network supplier? I would be surprised if they can give you a straight answer!
No you don't need 2 lines, just put on a a splitter to separate the Sky/fax/phone feed.No free lunch, and no free laptop

Only free now if you take skytalk - otherwise £5 per month.
I'm on both and have had no problems.0 -
thanks for your replies.
happy girl - indeed it was wrong to assume, i require a full installation which they can't do until the 16th and it's is the £120 odd. This is despite there being a Bt socket in the house, they claim the property has never had a line.
Going to push the boat out and go HD yeah
macman - my work pays line rental and cost of calls/faxes but anything else charged to the Bt bill I will have to pay myself. I think it'll probably be easier for me to take the sky broadband than have divide up the BT bill between personal use and work use. Although I'm probably going to use the free weekend calls for personal use.
Will using the Bt line for sky and sky broadband incour any extra charges onto my bt bill?0
