Please help - Toddler scribbled on the walls in my rented flat

How long have you been in the flat? If it is over 4 years, your landlord should be planning to redecorate anyway, so wouldn't be able to charge you for redecorating the whole room, maybe just a token donation (maybe £20 or so depending on how big the mark is.)

If you do paint the wall, as well as treating the stain you need to wash the whole wall with something like sugar soap. Wash it and let it dry before painting.
See what kind of a finish is on the wall at the moment - if it's dull and doesn't reflect light, use a matt paint, if it has a shine, use a silk paint.0 -
Dear All,
Thanks very much for all your replies. I tried using a tesco brand hairspray…but it didn’t work. Today I got a magic eraser from poundland and am gonna try that one. Will post if it makes any magic to the ink marks. Can you please tell me where to get the sugar soap??
We moved into this flat 1.5 yrs before..and the agent is very professional…and was professionally cleaned when it was let. So, I guess, they may definitely charge me for this…though the flat was newly painted when we moved in. I could see some scratches and marks…here and there in the house…but not obvious like this ink mark in our bedroom. The ink marks are like very thin lines…like 4 or 5 lines..running from the start till the end of the room.
Thanks again for your support. I am going to try this magic eraser tonight and also if you could let me know abt the sugar soap..I will also try that one..before doing the paint work. I saw some paint rollers and brushes in the poundland…and was tempted to buy. But will take that as the last option.
Also, the paint looks white and dull..doesnt reflect dull..in that case, should I buy White Matt paint ? Where do we get cheap paints??
Thanks..

You can buy sugar soap from most places. I know Wilkinson has it or any diy shop.0

dear all,
I got some sugar soap wipes from Poundland..and that didnt work for the ink marks. So,I have re-painted the entire wall just now. But, the marks are still visible...but not that prominent. So, I will wait for the paint to dry up and see how it looks. Probably I could give another coat..??
The painting was quite easy with the roller..may not look professional though!
Many thanks for all your help!
Now, I am removing some black fungus marks from the curtains...We had one or two marks on the curtains..when we moved in.But, I tried using bleach spray...and could remove some bits.
Any easy way to remove these marks from the window curtains??
Many thanks..again!Credit card debt:
