Catalogue error

Okay, now this might sound very dishonest, but bear with me!
I got a code from the vouchers forum for a catalogue and ordered an item hoping to get a discount. When the item appeared on my account the discount was not added (i didn't think it would be as some people were saying it had stopped working). Because the item was a luxury and i couldn't afford the full price i cancelled it. A few days ago i received something i had ordered and the item i had cancelled.
My oh signed for both, but when i checked my account it was still saying item cancelled. This was a few days ago and the item i had ordered is saying delivered, but the other item still says item cancelled. It came direct from supplier.
So....What do i do? Send it back? I take it i will get charged eventually....
Any ideas?

It can take up to a month for items/admendments to show up on statements, so I wouldnt bank on them not knowing what theyve done!

sometimes they dont know, a long time ago my MIL ordered a hoover , lo and behold 2 arrived but she only ever got charged for 1 .
think you have 28 days to return , may vary cat to cat.0 -
as long as you contact them and tell them to collect it you have done nothing wrong, you are not expected to be out of pocket by returning it.
i ordered the missus some ghd hair straighteners last year, i got sent a pair the next day and 3 days later recieved another pair, both with the same invoice number. i phoned the company 4 times in 4 months, they didnt send anyone around to collect them so i kept them and sold them off.
i guess it depends on what it is and how much it cost.
what was it and how much did it cost?what is the plural of moose?

This happened to me with Argos I telephoned them and they told me not to worry as it was their mistake and it was quite clearly marked cancelled on the system and refund processed. They told me just to keep the goods!!0

A frequent occurence (it's happened to me and a friend) is to order on line, chase by phone if it's late arriving, find you then get TWO of the item, send one back, get a refund for the one item and then have to wait to see it the other ever gets charged for! (Mine hasn't.....yet!).0

Thanks for all the replies. I didn't want to go into much detail but the item is worth £200 and my account is still saying cancelled despite the other item saying delivered. I just thought that when the "supplier" contacts the catalogue with the bill, they will realise that i have received one. I suppose even if i do get charged eventually, i will have had interest free credit for a while!
Keeping it still in box and unopened for the time being... :shhh:I like my money right where I can see it - hanging in my closet.;)0
