I've doubled my money (well temporarily anyway). Carried out the transfer as shown above and login today and find money plus interest in esaver7 and esaver 6 showing original balance.

I know in a few hours the esaver6 will disappear from my screen. I don't really like their system. I'd like to be able to see the closed account with interest showing (for tax purposes). In a similar situation with A&L I can still see my statement for a closed direct saver account.

When the e saver 7 appears in your list of accounts you choose the "move money" option.

Through this option select to transfer the entire balance (which you type in)from the e saver 6 to the e saver 7. When you do this the on-line software then provides you with a tick box option to close the e saver 6 which you select, and proceed.

Then wait a day or so and the e saver 6 should disappear from your list of accounts and the balance with interest will appear in the e saver 7.

Thanks mate just done it . Joint account has 100K in it so very happy with extra interest !!!

They were sharpish for a change about sending out the notice of this rate cut - I had an email today.

Me too, I replied saying I hope they raise their rates as quickly when interest rates rise

Interest payment date (for the annual option) is 31 July according to this post. However I couldn't find anything on the website or in the terms and conditions either so can't confirm this.
