Can I just confirm that the balance plus any accured interest to date is automatically transfered from issue 6 to issue 7 as I have just applied, and that the issue 6 is also automatically closed.
Or do I have to initiate the issue 6 account closure.

When the e saver 7 appears in your list of accounts you choose the "move money" option.

Through this option select to transfer the entire balance (which you type in)from the e saver 6 to the e saver 7. When you do this the on-line software then provides you with a tick box option to close the e saver 6 which you select, and proceed.

Then wait a day or so and the e saver 6 should disappear from your list of accounts and the balance with interest will appear in the e saver 7.
    I came, I saw, I melted

I don't think it's worth the hassle of opening new accounts with B&B if you already have an account with them. Interest rates are so low and the difference between accounts is too small

Depends on how much you have with them.

If you are up to the £50,000 protected maximum its still worth £200 per year to switch to the latest e-saver 7.

I think that's worth a few minutes filling in a new on-line form!

Or you could take the stance that every penny counts and for the sake of a few clicks of a mouse button, it's a worthwhile effort.

They'll have another new account out next week and you'll have to move it yet again.

I wouldn't have thought there would be any problems in using the same technique to move from the internet saver 3 to the e saver 7. But would have to try it to absolutely confirm it, or ring them up to check on their 0845 helpline number which is shown under the contact us tab when you log in.

As you say the effective 1K minimum applies to the e saver 6 and 7 but not to the internet saver 3.
Worked OK thanks as you said. I applied yesterday afternoon so it didn't appear until today. Not sure I'll use it though (well not now anyway) as I still have better elsewhere for now (ING). I only have £26 in the Internet Saver 3 so I wont transfer that unless I know I can add to it favourably

Worked for me transfering my issue 6 to issue 7, balance and interest paid within 24hrs.
Also just transfered the few pounds I had left in my internet saver issue 3 to issue 7 but that will also transfer the interest I had accumulated (a few hundred by my calculations). I should then start earning interest on that interest in issue 7.
